GIBSON (nee BLACK) Halifax, Nova Scotia

I have newspaper cutting of the death of Mrs S. L. GIBSON in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

She died aged 91, but unfortunately the cutting has neither the date or the name of the newspaper on it or .

Could anyone suggest a newspaper archive where I might find the original.

Her husband was called Stewart Lockie GIBSON

(Bearing in mind that the initials could have been her husband's), here are some records from the IGI on-line... you might want to check and see if any of the relations named match yours.

The IGI is a source to be verified, not trusted blindly. It accepts uploaded trees from anyone, and family trees are notorious for "wishful thinking" and undocumented assumptions.

I hadn't thought about looking on IGI for her death.

I know that she died after 1940 as the newspaper cutting refers to her husband's death. Her maiden name was Muriel Longfellow BLACK.

Off to look at IGI now.
